CAC Programs

A multifaceted organization, CAC aims to make its impact simple, but significant.

Food Pantry

The CAC Food Pantry is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

We believe this program is one of the most vital we offer, as it plays a direct role in combating hunger in the surrounding area. The food panty serves a number of community clients, which are free to stop by anytime and stock up on food and other supplies that we may have. Most of the CAC's food supply comes from Second Harvest, however, community donations are critical to the work we do and always welcome. Volunteers can come by any day of the week. During this time, volunteers help to stock and organize food on our shelves, and share in conversation with our clients!

FWF Program Description

Food With Friends

On the last Friday of each month, the CAC partners with Food with Friends to serve a delicious, free community lunch at Kennerly Hall. All members of the Sewanee community are invited including CAC clients, faculty, staff, and students! This is an amazing opportunity to meet new people and make lasting connections with those who share a deep appreciation for this community and those in it. Volunteers can help with cooking, serving, or cleaning (we'll be working from around 10:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m., but volunteers are welcome to only come for a portion of that time).
